Sabut Pyaaz Ki Sabji

"Hey!!!Do you also face vegetables deficit during monsoons!??"
"Well!! Here's an awesome, mouthwatering and super tasty recipe which doesn't require any veggies not even a potato! Isn't it unimaginable ?
Best part is it gets ready within minutes with Oyecurry tomato powder!

Ingredients:

  • Onion (small size) – 250 gm
  • Edible Oil – 3 table spoon
  • Nigella Sativa or kallaungi – ½ tsp
  • Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
  • Garlic (chopped) – 5 cloves
  • Ginger (chopped) – 1 inch
  • Green Chilli – 5, chopped
  • Curry leaf – 8 to 10 leaves
  • Asafoetida – ¼ tsp
  • Onion (big size) – 1, chopped
  • 2 table spoon Oyecurry tomato powder, 
  • Kashmiri Red Chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • Coriander seeds powder – 2 tsp
  • Salt – 1.5 tsp
  • Curd/ Yogurt – ½ cup

Process:

  1. Add jeera and kallaungi to medium hot oil in a pan and let it splutter
  2. Add lengthwise chopped garlic cloves and let it turn slightly golden
  3. Add julian cut ginger and longitudinally slit green chillies and stir
  4. Add finely chopped onion in and stir untill transparent.
  5. Add Oyecurry tomato powder mixed in a bowl of water to the masala in pan and stir untill water evaporates.
  6. Add in all dry masalas and mix well.
  7. Add in the fresh thick creamy curd to the pan and keep stirring continuously so that the curd doesn't separate.
  8. Cover and let it cook for 2 min.
  9. Add salt and small onions to it mix well but with light hands.
  10. Cover and cook on low flame.
  11. Check every two minutes,stir and cook again.
  12. once the onions are transparent and cooked well garnish with fresh coriander chopped fine and serve hot with any bhakari or chapati.

Note:The dish turns out tasty and gives out a nice coarse texture only when cooked on low to medium flame.
