Why dehydrated food?
Share
Dehydration is the concept of removing moisture completely from any fruit or vegetables to increase its shelf life.
Concept and end item may sound expensive, but they aren't, since these end products are highly concentrated(with out any additives or artificial flavour) and full of flavour.
Let's explore the benefits of dehydrated vegetables/fruits:
- Longer Shelf Life
Moisture is the primary cause of food spoilage as it promotes the growth of bacteria, yeast etc. Post dehydration process, moisture is completely removed hence increasing the shelf life.
- Lightweight and Portable
Dehydrated foods are incredibly lightweight, making them easy to store and transport. These make them a popular choices among people who travel quite often.
- Convenient and easy to use
Dehydrated edibles are already cooked, one need to cook them again. In order to use them one must pour them in boiling/norma water. Even if you eat them as it is, they would still have a great taste.
